How We Classify Knowledge
Teach the seven epistemic labels used across CP1 Observatory.

Canonical master
CP1 Observatory classifies knowledge before communicating conclusions. OBS is observed. CNF is confirmed within a defined scope. INF is inferred. HYP is a testable hypothesis. SPC is speculative. UNK is unknown. CTR is contradicted. These labels prevent a possibility from being presented as evidence and an inference from being presented as observation.
Governed sequence
CNF — CONFIRMED
Repeated or independently supported strongly enough for the defined scope.
INF — INFERRED
Reasonably derived from observations, but not directly observed itself.
HYP — HYPOTHESIS
A testable explanation under active evaluation.
SPC — SPECULATIVE
A possibility with insufficient evidence or discriminatory power.
UNK — UNKNOWN
Not currently determinable.
CTR — CONTRADICTED
Materially conflicts with stronger evidence.
