THE CONDITION
We can access more facts, images, opinions and models than any previous generation.
CP1 OBSERVATORY · EVIDENCE INTERFACE v1.6.2
P02 · FOUNDATION · FOUNDER RATIFIED
Explain why more information does not automatically create better understanding.
Information is abundant. Understanding is not. CP1 Observatory exists to separate observations, evidence, interpretations, hypotheses and unknowns; compare competing explanations; and preserve visible correction when the evidence changes. The goal is not to create more certainty than the data allows. The goal is to increase the resolution with which we observe complex questions. Observe Better.
We can access more facts, images, opinions and models than any previous generation.
More information can still produce confusion when sources, claims, models and uncertainty are mixed together.
CP1 separates what was observed, what is inferred, what is hypothesized and what remains unknown.
We organize research around what changes the question.
Better observation improves decisions, research, technology and the ability to correct error.
We do not ask you to believe. We ask whether the explanation survives the evidence.
